On Fishing

What is the philosophy behind fishing?  It can be only one thing - the enjoyment of getting outdoors, of drinking in as much of nature as possible, and of realizing that because we are able to do these things and enjoy them to the utmost, we are among the most favored of all peoples and that no one, nowhere and nohow, has any more of this old world to enjoy than we do.  Lou Klewer is outdoors editor of The Blade.
